In 1994 the end of the apartheid regime brought ANC to power. But for the millions of township inhabitants nothing changed. They still have no access to fresh water, electricity, sewage systems, basic health care, education, ... The world soccer championship made it even worse. Their houses were destroyed and they were forced to move into transit camps. Since few years the people organise themselves and try to fight and change that conditions. Abhali with its 20.000 members is the largest organisation in that struggle.

Monday evening they will will be a screening of their films, which show's their struggle and the problems they face, with discussion. So please visit as well for more detailed information:
